Griffin’s injuries are likely a big part of this drop. Perhaps Griffin was not ready to return to basketball just yet. Regardless, in the 18 games that Griffin did appear for the Detroit Pistons, the six-time All-Star was not too impressive.

After arguably the best season of his career in 2018, Griffin put up a career-low 15.5 points, and 4.7 rebounds per game while shooting a whopping 35.2 field goal percentage, making him a liability on offense.

For that reason, Griffin’s 2K rating has dropped from an 88 to an 84. It’s hard to put Griffin on a list like this after a great bounce-back season, but the results do all the talking. It was a limited sample size but Griffin just did not appear ready for this season.

Griffin is scheduled to get knee surgery this year and it’s possible that he misses the rest of the NBA season.
