Pelicans’ Zion Williamson Speaks Against Restricted Minutes

Unfortunately for the Pelicans, the Spurs came out with a 121-117 victory, spoiling one of the most historic NBA debuts by a rookie since LeBron James in 2003.

Although Williamson’s frustration is understandable, the Pelicans have a right to be cautious with their most prized asset. The Pelicans still have a chance at making the playoffs, so they need Zion to be 100 percent healthy for the series of tough games that lie ahead.

The Pelicans’ record dropped down to 17-28 after they were defeated by the Spurs, which put them a total of four games behind the Spurs for the eighth and final playoff spot in the Western Conference.
