NFL Executive Claims Having 3 Black Head Coaches Is Shameful

Among them were four African-American coaches, Marvin Lewis of the Cincinnati Bengals, Todd Bowles of the New York Jets, Vance Joseph of the Denver Broncos and Steve Wilks of the Arizona Cardinals, not to mention Hue Jackson who was fired during the season by the Cleveland Browns, per source.

That left only 2 black head coaches remaining. Those two would be Mike Tomlin of the Pittsburgh Steelers and Anthony Lynn of the Los Angeles Chargers. This would change slightly in February as the Miami Dolphins signed Brian Flores as their new head coach.

That put the total at 3 for black NFL head coaches, and it remains that way at the time of this article.
