New Orleans Pelicans: Zion Williamson Injury Update

Following arthroscopic surgery to repair a torn lateral meniscus, Williamson is estimated to be out six to eight weeks, per a team statement.

If the “six to eight weeks” started on opening night (Oct.22), then those eight weeks will expire on December 17th.

At the earliest possible date, Williamson could return on December 3rd against the Dallas Mavericks, but the executive vice president of basketball operations, David Griffin, said it’s unlikely for Zion to return that quickly.
