NBA MVP Favorites

The last guy we’re going to talk about is Kawaii Leonard.

Even though Kawaii left the San Antonio Spurs awhile ago, it seems like he still carries that Spurs curse, or blessing depending on how you look at it. The curse or blessing is that nobody talks about you.

Most of that is Kawaii’s own doing since he doesn’t really talk to the media at all. I just wanted to give some love to the Spurs. Right now they’re sixth in the West, and are actually a fun team to watch.

Anyways back to Kawaii. The Claw is having a sneaky great season. I say sneaking because it feels like since the Clippers blew that 3-1 lead to the Denver Nuggets in last year’s Western Conference Semifinals, nobody cares about the Clips.

Once the playoffs start, people will start talking about the Clips again, but for now, they’ll remain backstage because the whole “Do it in the Postseason” argument will come up am I right? It’s the same reason nobody really cares about the Milwaukee Bucks anymore.

Back to Kawaii, again, he’s averaging 26.7 ppg, 5.9apg, and 5apg, along with a 27.67 PER, good for fourth in the league, all according to ESPN.

Another to mention is that the Clippers have looked like a better team this season than last. The simple reason for that has been consistency.

Kawaii along with Paul George have played great basketball day in and day out. That consistency has lead them to the third best record in the league, only 2.5 games back of the Jazz for the best record in the league.

Another factor to the Clippers success has to be how they got embarrassed in the post season last year. That debacle may be the worst by any team in NBA history. Seriously!

After getting laughed at by everyone and their mother, the Clippers have come back more motivated than ever.

Kawaii’s may be the least likely to win the MVP out of these four players, but if the Clippers claim the one seed in the West, with the best record in the league, then Kawaii may very well win it. He’ll have the classic case of being the best player on the best team.

As of right now though, Kawaii’s is in the same class as Jokic, which is just a smudge below LeBron and Embiid.

There is still a lot more basketball to be played, so who knows what the future holds.
