LeBron James Fake Blocked Teammate Rajon Rondo

Rondo knew his defender saw an open LeBron James, so Rondo took matters into his own hands. He faked a pass to LeBron and went for a layup himself. Playing around, LeBron pretended to block the shot.

The Lakers went on to beat the Hawks 101-96, winning their seventh game in a row.

Post game, LeBron was asked about his fake block. He answered, “He know he’s supposed to throw that lob being the cerebral point guard that he is. He is supposed to throw that lob so I tried to go get a block and I was unsuccessful at both.”

James later on joked, “He hit me with the fake pass, so I hit him with the fake block.”

LeBron also spoke on the poor shooting and high turnovers by the Lakers in the close win. He said, “No matter what the game presents itself we were able to figure it out. We couldn’t throw a quarter in the ocean tonight. We were turning the ball over. Versus a young team we can’t do that. We’ve been resilient and relying on our defense and knowing we can get stops on crucial times and just try to execute on the other end.”
