Lebron James’ Best Business deals

Number 1: Nike contract

CLEVELAND – DECEMBER 12: LeBron James #23 of St. Vincent-St. Mary High School

At the age of 18, LeBron James had the world at his feet. One of the most obvious No.1 draft picks of all time, LeBron also had all the major brands after him. Nike, Adidas, Under Armour, Puma, and Reebok all wanted him. In fact, Reebok were so desperate to get him, they offered him $10 million just to not speak to any of their competitors. For someone with LeBron’s background, this would have been unbelievable money. However, LeBron made the decision to reject Reebok and sign with Nike, which netted him a 9-year, $73 million dollar contract, which he renewed in 2015, and is likely to get him around $1 billion by the time he is 64. This is an incredible deal, and will possibly help the King to overtake MJ as the richest NBA player of all time by the time it ends.
