LeBron Is Working On One Goal He Has Yet To Achieve

“I want to shoot 80 [percent] from the free throw line, man,” James told ESPN. “That’s my only goal. That’s my last goal of my NBA career. My last one. I’ve done everything else.”

Free throw shooting has been LeBron’s Achilles heel for the majority of his career. LeBron’s been criticized for not hitting free throws in clutch situations, but it’s never been about the pressure. Bron needs to improve at the line and he acknowledges that.

James has never shot 80% from the free-throw line during his NBA career. His career free-throw shooting percentage is 73.6% and his best season from the line was 2008-09, shooting 78%.

Unfortunately, LeBron’s free-throw shooting has become worse later in his career. Last season was Bron’s worst from the charity stripe, shooting an abysmal 66.5%. This season has been a slight improvement for LeBron, but still subpar, shooting 69.7% from the line.
