Kyrie Irving Speaks Out On Social Media After Celtics Fans Taunting

While Irving did not receive the taunting directly, his Nets players served as proxies, and were actually glad Irving wasn’t there for it.

“It was better than I thought,” Allen said. “They could’ve booed us every time we touched the ball. If Kyrie was here, it probably would’ve been 10 times worse.”

Nets head coach, Kenny Atkinson, said he “didn’t give a second thought” to the chants.

Celtics’ head coach, Brad Stevens, didn’t appreciate the chants either, and claims that he always wished the best for Kyrie Irving.

“I’ve said many times that I really enjoy Kyrie and wish him nothing but the best.”
