Kyrie Irving Claims He May Need Shoulder Surgery Before Return

Although Irving said on Saturday that he was taking all the steps to avoid shoulder surgery, one could very well be in the young point guard’s future.

After addressing the media for the first time in two months, Irving said on Saturday that he had taken a cortisone shot in an attempt to avoid surgery on an ailing shoulder that has kept him out of games since November.

Irving did not give a concrete timetable for his return but said that he was “doing a lot better.”
