Teams that are seriously considering Love will have to take in account his history of injuries, and his diminishing glory days of being a sole star with the Minnesota Timberwolves, to now being only a points and boards guy with an elite shot from three-point land.
Contenders will have to take into consideration that they will have to swallow $30 million a year to sign Love, especially with the NBA expecting to reduce the salary cap after China pulled away their support.
Hauling in an extra $30 million a year is certainly a gamble, especially if it does not result in a championship, making this trade all the more difficult for teams near that tax line.
