In a surprising turn of events, the Los Angeles Clippers went from a playoff contender to a championship contender late Friday night. Kawhi Leonard, the last big free agent on the market, made his decision to sign with the Clippers, and also helped recruit Paul George to come over from the Thunder.
After Leonard pushed George to find a way to get to the Clippers, Paul George approached the team and requested a trade, league sources tell ESPN. OKC was left with no choice and made the best out of a difficult situation, per sources.

Leonard agreed to a max contract of 4-years, $124 million, while the Clippers sent out Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Danilo Gallinari, four unprotected first-round picks, a protected first-round pick and two pick swaps.
