Karl Anthony Town’s Mother Dies Of The Coronavirus

One of the latest victims is Jacqueline Cruz, the mother of Minnesota Timberwolves’ superstar Karl Anthony Towns. Cruz died of coronavirus-related complications on Monday. Towns mentioned that his mother was on a ventilator and in a medically induced coma.

The Towns family did issue out a statement regarding the passing:

“The Towns family is heartbroken by the untimely passing. The matriarch of the Towns family, she was an incredible source of strength; a fiery, caring, and extremely loving person, who touched everyone she met.”

When Towns announced that his mother had become infected with the virus, he said that both of his parents had tested positive for it.
