Houston Rockets to Protest Tuesday’s Loss

With the Rockets up 15 points, the team was unable to get a review of a James Harden dunk in the fourth quarter. Officials thought the ball went through the hoop and came out of the net.

The officials didn’t allow the dunk or a coach challenge, saying the challenge was not requested within the 30 second window.

However, after the game, Crew chief James Casper admitted that the dunk should have counted. He said it is clear that the ball went through the net in a video.

The Rockets had 48 hours after the game to file a protest and they did just that. The team is arguing that Harden’s dunk is an example of “misapplication of rules.” Though their main argument is the dunk, they are also arguing that officials messed up in failing to allow a coach challenge.
