Helicopter Carrying Kobe Made Climbing Turn Before Rapid Dive

Emergency personnel immediately responded with firefighters hiking in with medical equipment and hoses but found no survivors of the crash, Los Angeles County Fire Chief Daryl Osby said.

The firefighters stayed busy for a little while as they worked to douse flames that spread through about a quarter-acre of dry busy, Osby said.

Josh Rubenstein, the spokesman for the Los Angeles Police Department, said the department’s Air Support Division rounded its helicopters Sunday morning due to foggy conditions and didn’t fly until later in the afternoon.
