Bryce signed his letter of intent to be a Yellow Jacket in mid-December and finished his high school classes a semester early, the school said.

He was happy for his future, but could not shake his family’s circumstances. This is what his mother, Shibbon Winelle, said in a Facebook Live video, according to The Washington Post. Winelle also declined to be interviewed by The Washington Post.
