Dwight Howard Nearing Return To Lakers

With newly signed center DeMarcus Cousins possibly out for the season with a torn ACL, the Lakers are trying to look for replacements. One likely option is former Laker Dwight Howard.

The Lakers are expected to request permission soon to speak to Dwight Howard and there's mutual interest between the eight-time All-Star and L.A. in wake of DeMarcus Cousins' torn ACL, league sources tell @TheAthleticNBA @Stadium.

Howard is currently with the Memphis Grizzlies, who acquired him earlier this summer after his one-year stint with the Wizards.

While he’s nowhere near his former All-Star self, Howard can still produce at a moderate level.
