Draymond Green Speaks On Warriors TV Ratings Decline

Green was the Defensive Player of the Year in 2017, but this season, he is struggling without the help of his all-star teammates. He is currently averaging 8.3 points, 6.1 rebounds, and 5.6 assists per game so far this season.

With Curry and Thompson hurt, and Durant in Brooklyn, the Warriors are lacking the same “pull” they had in television ratings in previous years. This is something the Warriors head coach, Steve Kerr, is willing to admit.

“I’m not the expert on this stuff but I don’t think it helps that Steph’s injured. I know he drives some ratings.

Obviously ratings are important, viewership is important and we need to put the best possible product on the floor.”

Whether or not the Warriors’ decline is the same reason for the NBA’s television ratings declining, the NBA will likely do anything to get their ratings back up. The league, as they say, is “where amazing happens.”
