Draymond Green Mocks Technical Foul Call And Gets Ejected

Draymond Green has racked up double-digit technical fouls in each of the last five NBA seasons, and he has a good chance to set a new career-high this season.

On Saturday night against the Detroit Pistons, Green got himself ejected by picking up two technical fouls in quick succession by openly mocking an official’s “T” signal on the court.

Green was called for a reach-in foul and was unhappy with the whistle, so he argued with the referee and picked up his first technical.

In response, Green mocked the official’s technical call and was promptly ejected from the game.

Green finished the game with two points — both from free throws. He was 0-for-2 from the field in 22 minutes and had six rebounds and three assists.

Head coach Steve Kerr spoke on Green’s actions after the game:

“The last couple games he’s looked tired.

I think you’ve got to remember that he’s the lone guy, lone holdover from the group that’s been to the finals five years in a row.

He looks tired to me. I’ve been trying to give him a night off here and there. We probably need to do that.

I think he’s just kind of worn out emotionally and physically.”

Green is averaging 9 points, 6.3 rebounds, and 5.6 assists in 27 games for the Golden State Warriors this season. The three-time All-Star is currently in his eighth season with the franchise.

The Pistons declared victory over the Warriors with the final score being 111-104 to improve to 13-23 on the year. The Warriors fell to a record of 9-28, sitting dead last in the western conference.

Green is known for racking up technical fouls, so these are just two more that he can add to the list.
