Drake was there when all the dogs needed help.

When his team and city needed him the most, Drake made the ultimate sacrifice to secure an NBA title for the 6 in 6.
The NBA couldn’t handle Drakes tactics anymore, they fear what they don’t know or understand, so they politely asked him to not attend Game 6.

Drake obliged and kept the energy at a Champion level back home in Toronto. Even though it killed him to not be in the Oracle for the last game, he saw a bigger picture, and manifested his destiny as a World Champion.
