At the 1998 Nike Hoop Summit in San Antonio, Texas, Dirk destroyed everyone as he exploded with 33 points and 14 rebounds.

That was the first time that NBA scouts and general managers seen Nowitzki play, which was possibly the start of his NBA career.

What’s shocking is that when Nowitzki snuck out of the country to attend the Summit, he was still a member of the German Army.
