Dak Prescott Turned Down $33 Million A Year From Dallas Cowboys

According to Clarence Hill of the Star-Telegram, Prescott almost agreed to an extension worth $33 million per year back in September.

However, it seems that Hill stated that Prescott would break down after a hot start to the 2019 season, and he is presumably looking to become the NFL’s highest-paid player, who is currently Russell Wilson of the Seattle Seahawks, who makes $35 million per year.

The Cowboys’ owner, Jerry Jones, has made it perfectly clear that he wants to sign his star quarterback to a long-term deal.

“He deserves everything he has coming,” Jones said.

“We got real, real, real close there to start the season and just didn’t get it finished up. He’s so laser-focused on wanting to win football games and compete that he really didn’t want the distraction once we didn’t get it done in that first week of going back and forth with the contract.

We just got to move forward.

He’s our quarterback of the future. I’ll take him any time when you go to war against these guys. We’re fortunate to have him.”‬
