CJ McCollum Claims Almost A Third Of NBA Living Paycheck To Paycheck

According to statistics researched by Basketball-Reference, the median salary of an NBA player as of 2017 was $2.5 million, while the average salary of an NBA player was at $6.9 million. For some of the less talented NBA players or some who may have just entered the league, the minimum NBA salary was estimated at $893,310.

For most of us, $893,000 would be more than enough to take care of our families for a while. However, when NBA players do enter the league, they make rich friends, who they try to impress with their newfound earnings. This is mostly why McCollum believes that there are many players in the NBA who are hurting during this global pandemic.
