Chris Paul’s Quick Thinking Gets OKC Overtime Win

Minnesota Timberwolves star, Karl Anthony Towns, missed a free throw and went to shoot another in hopes to put his team up by three.  However, before he got the chance to, Jordan Bell was put into the game. Chris Paul automatically noticed he had his jersey untucked and did what he could to help his team.

Paul began yelling at a referee, “Jersey untucked! Jersey untucked! That’s a delay of game!” The referee then blew the whistle, calling a delay of game.

It is stated in the NBA Rulebook’s technical foul chapter, “A player must have his shirt tucked in and be ready for play when he is entering the game. If his shirt is untucked when he is beckoned into the game by the official, a delay of game violation shall be assessed.”
