Charles Barkley Tells Story of Playing While Drunk

During a 2018 appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live, Barkley told one of his best stories yet.

Kimmel asked, “Is it true you were almost going to play for the Lakers?” Barkley then began to recall that day and shared his story.

He shared, “I get a call from my agent one morning, and he says, ‘I think we’ve got a deal, you’re going to the Lakers,’ I was so excited, so me and my boys went out to celebrate. We started getting drunk in the middle of the day. My agent called me back about three hours later. He says, ‘The Sixers pulled out of the deal,’ and we got a game that night. I don’t remember anything about that game. First of all, I was so pissed, but I was so drunk, too. I have no idea what happened that game.”
