Chargers New Uniforms & Their Uniform History

In 1974, the Chargers lost the numbers on the helmets and painted them navy blue. A look that would last for the Chargers with different variations until 2009. These were some of the Chargers’ most successful years with stars like Junior Seau, Landainian Tomlinson, Shawn Merriman, & Antonio Gates.

In 1979, the Chargers added the bolt stripe down the sides on the pants that they are still rocking today.
