Boston Celtics: Blockbuster Trade to Create Big 4

NBA teams are constantly trying to improve their rosters as much as possible before the trade deadline, and it appears that the Boston Celtics may have a specific two stars in their agenda.

The Boston Celtics are 8-1 in the eastern conference, and have the best record in the league. It would seem like a ridiculous idea to make trade any of their assets, but what if they could get two superstars?

The San Antonio Spurs have two superstars that the Celtics may be ready to target. Those players would be LaMarcus Aldridge, and DeMar DeRozan.

Here is how this trade would work; The Spurs would receive Jaylen Brown, Gordon Hayward, Marcus Smart and a future-heavily protected pick (Memphis’ 1st round pick to Boston protected for selections 1-6 in 2020), and the Celtics would receive LaMarcus Aldridge and DeMar DeRozan.

The Celtics are clearly a good enough team this year without a blockbuster trade like this one, but it’s questionable whether or not they could be championship contenders.

With elite stars in Kemba Walker and Jayson Tatum, a massive trade like this could significantly upgrade their roster, and would undoubtedly be the favorites to go to the Finals in the eastern conference.
