Alex Smith’s comeback victory over the now 11-1 Steelers is one of the most heartwarming stories of 2020

On Monday, the Washington Football Team defeated the Pittsburgh Steelers 23-17 to dismantle Pittsburgh’s 11-0 record. The bigger story was Alex Smith being the quarterback that ended the Steelers historic win streak.

On November 18th 2018, Alex Smith’s right leg was significantly injured on a play where he was split-sacked by 2 Houston Texans players. He suffered a compound fracture to his Tibia and Fibula that required surgery. The initial surgery went well, shortly after things took a serious turn for the worst.
