The Lakers Are Shutting Down LeBron James For The Rest Of The Season

With six games left in their miserable season, the Lakers have decided to shut LeBron James down. According to president of basketball operations Magic Johnson and general manager Rob Pelinka, the decision to end James’ season prematurely stems from the groin injury that has been bugging him for much of the year. The Lakers cited a desire to “allow his groin to fully heal” as the main reason behind the decision.

The groin injury was suffered on Christmas Day, during a game in which the Lakers were blowing out the Warriors. At the time, the Lakers were a top-4 seed in the west. The injury caused James to miss 17 games, and the season went down the tank.
