After David Robinson was selected 1st overall in the NBA Draft by the San Antonio Spurs, he ended missing his first two seasons due to serving the military.

Robinson made his NBA debut in 1989. He went on to average 24.3 points & 12 rebounds per game and won Rookie of the Year.
